Drugs and Weapons Seized in Mannum Raids
Police have arrested two men and seized drugs and weapons following raids on Mannum properties in the last week.
On Wednesday 24 October, Mannum police along with patrols from Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge, conducted coordinated drug searches on three properties in the Mannum District.
A 27-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman both of Mannum were arrested and jointly charged for trafficking cannabis, after police allegedly located small bags of cannabis and a small amount of methamphetamine at their premises.
The arrested man was further charged with possessing prohibited weapons after a large double edged dagger and a laser pointer were also found.
A 42-year-old man from Mannum was reported for possession of a prohibited weapon after a pair of nunchukas were found.
He was also issued and expiation notice for possession of cannabis and equipment and given a drug diversion after police located equipment, namely ice pipes associated with consuming a controlled substance and a possession of a controlled substance namely two ecstasy tablets. And a 40-year-old man and a 45-year old man both from near Mannum and were issued an expiation notice each for possession of cannabis and equipment.
All persons will appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.
