Police form Alliance to Help Local Clubs

Police from the Yorke Mid North Local Service Area have started Operation Alliance to help local community and sporting clubs to review and improve security measures.

Since 8 October police have noted an increase in the number of reported break-ins at community and sporting clubs in the Mid North area and also on the Yorke Peninsula.

In the past four weeks thieves have targeted clubs in Yorketown, Robertstown, Booborowie, Caltowie and more recently in both Snowtown and Lochiel.

Police would like the public to be aware of these premises being targeted during the hours of darkness and to immediately report any suspicious activity via the Police Assistance Line on 131444, or 000 in an emergency.

Remember, if something doesn't look or feel right - report it.

Anyone with information in relation to this illegal activity is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and can remain anonymous.
