Trespasser Arrested with Stolen Goods
A man was arrested after being found in a back yard at Murray Bridge yesterday afternoon.
Police were in Amanda Street, Murray Bridge about 3.30pm on Wednesday 14 November, when a resident approached them and said a man had jumped into their rear yard.
Following a short foot chase, the trespasser was arrested.
Police allegedly found a backpack containing stolen items in the suspect's vehicle, and a subsequent search of his home revealed more property suspected of being stolen.
The 38-year-old Murray Bridge man was arrested and charged with two counts of serious criminal trespass, two counts of theft, unlawfully on premises and unlawful possession.
He was refused police bail and will appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court today, Thursday 15 November.
