Arrest After Jamestown Break-in
Jamestown Police with assistance from Spalding, Orroroo and Crystal Brook Police, arrested a man last week following a break-in at Jamestown.
At about 5.30am on Monday 3 December, an unoccupied house on Dutton Street was broken into and Makita power tools including a cordless grinder, tech gun and four Makita batteries were stolen.
The suspect was identified after CCTV footage was examined.
At about 6pm that same day, police searched an address in Jamestown and arrested a 48-year-old Jamestown man and charged him with serious criminal trespass and theft.
He was refused bail and appeared in the Port Pirie Magistrates Court the following day where he was remanded in custody to reappear on 14 December.
No property has been recovered and investigations are continuing.
