Weekly Wool Sales See Big Buyers Return


While the activity in the world of wool was boosted this week by the return of the Chinese, Steven Read from Michell Wool tells us that the overall the statistics tell a much slower story.


In the year to date, just over $2 billion worth of Australian wool has been exported. While it seems a big number, exports to China for the first six months of this season are down 25.1% and overall exports from Australia down 22%.
