Regional Winemakers Make Young Gun Top 50
Since 2007, the Young Gun of Wine awards have showcased the best young winemakers from around Australia, and 2019 has seen an abundance of emerging talent make the list.
The judging panel tasted over 250 wines to determine a Top 50 list, with wineries from WA, Vic, NSW, ACT, Qld and SA making the prestigious list from which a winner will be crowned at a presentation in Adelaide in June.
This week, Renae caught up with a couple of young winemakers who were honoured to make the list for the first time in 2019.
Rob Paulazzo is Riverina born and bred, who combines local southern NSW grapes with experience gained from working in wine regions all over the world.
Catch the full interview with Rob below and to learn more about his wines - including the 2017 Tumbarumba Chardonnay and 2016 Hilltops Cabernet Savignon the YGOW judges praised - head to the R.Paulazzo Facebook page.

Heading to South Australia, Renae also caught up with Daniel Redman of Redman Wines in the Coonawarra district, who talked us through the award process, exploring wine, and the qualities synonymous with the Coonawarra - particularly the Cab Sav.
Tune in below for the full interview with Daniel and be sure to check out the Redman Wines website for an in-depth look at the wines.

Congratulations to all the nominees from across the Flow Regions and head to Young Guns of Wine to see the full list.
And be sure to keep a look out for the wines next time you require a bottle, as there is a People Choice vote as part of the awards as well!
