Travis Head on the Summer Sports Show
Adelaide Strikers skipper and Test star Travis Head spoke with Jason on the Summer Sports show ahead of tonight's huge showdown with the Perth Scorchers at Optus Stadium. The Strikers are hosting a Bushfire appeal at Adelaide Oval during their final regular season fixture against the Hobart Hurricanes.
Sunday night’s Australia Day game at Adelaide Oval is the Adelaide Strikers Bushfire Appeal match.
Online donations can be made at http://sa.gov.au/strikers
and funds go to SA Bushfire Appeal for people directly affected by bushfires in Cudlee Creek and on Kangaroo Island.
Signed player shirts from the game (plus rest of squad) are included in a silent auction at http://bit.ly/BushfireAppealAuction Strikers major partner People’s Choice Credit Union opened the batting for the appeal with a $50,000 donation.
They have also pledged $1500 for every six, $1000 for every four and $500 for every wicket by the Strikers in the game.
The Strikers have also given 800 tickets to the CFS for Sunday’s game to distribute to volunteers and family.
SACA is also accepting donations of second-hand cricket bats, pads and gloves to distribute to communities in need.
